The Mettlach sandstone monument, War Cemetery is located at the outskirts of a forest. On a bright summer day, the viewer stands in front of the sandstone monument where the figure on the monument represents Germania, as the embodiment of the German Empire founded in 1871, whose heraldic eagle is also depicted on the shield. It is therefore a memorial of the type typically erected after the war of 1870/71.
Where do they remain?
Wait for me, I'll come back, as many had said, to their wives, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and relatives have waited in vain for the homecoming to this day.

Untangling the misrepresentation of genealogical Datas.
Numerous unverified copies and publications circulate on the internet. I explore the fascinating world of genealogy and present a research that helps us find our ancestors and research our missing family members to answer the question of their whereabouts.

That's my task today.

Bronze Statue

Reimsbach
The Reimsbach Cemetery of Honor is embedded in the pine forest. During a bright summer day with a blue sky, the viewer stands inside the cemetery forecourt behind the bronze statue which appears on the right side. He is looking over a green lawn landscape that extended from his feet towards the end of the cemetery. In the far distance after the cemetery entrance at the end of the cemetery middle path and in front of the evergreen pine forest, the high sandstone cross appears on a sandstone under a blue sky.
